Sort of a throwback but yet a brand new addition of the CBS Sports, I and College Basketball

podcast.

I'm your fill-in host, Matt Norlander.

Hope everyone's doing well.

We've got a lot to get to here.

And we certainly will do that with all the craziness that's happened in College Basketball

over the past couple of days.

And obviously a pretty eventful meaningful weekend coming up ahead February is coming

to a close and of course there are just so many games of importance.

But before we get to that, Parish obviously is not on this podcast for those that follow

him on Twitter or perhaps are fans of his Facebook page.

You're aware of the reason why but if you are not aware I will fill you in with Gary's

blessing.

So Gary has, as he had mentioned on a podcast, a few weeks back was expecting a third

child in June.

Tragically, he and his wife lost that child.

He found out early this week.

It's an absolutely devastating and quite honestly infuriating thing because the child was

lost to a very rare incident in which the umbilical cord got tied.

You can't prevent it from happening and almost never happens but it did happen here.

It's very tragic.
