welcome to the Wednesday February 14th 2018 edition of Tesla Daily on Official Tesla Podcast.

My name is Rob Maower, and today we were talking a little bit more about Model 3's,

as well as a couple updated analyst price targets.

Tesla stock on Tuesday closed up 2.51% to $3.26, this compared to the NASDAQ up 0.45%.

Supercharger network update, we are currently at 1,162 supercharging locations with one new station opening up in New Jersey.

Okay, so we have some news on Model 3 Vins today.

A couple forum users have reported that their Vins have been assigned.

One of those Vins is in the 7500 range, and the other one, which will now be the highest assigned

VIN is in the 8200 range.

These VIN assignments were of particular interest to me because back on the December 28th episode, when I extrapolated the VIN registrations to when we should be seeing vehicles assigned and delivered, I said that as we approach February 15th

we should start to see signs of Vins in the 7000s and the 8,000s. So this is good

data validation and again I would caution that this data is still pretty limited but it is good data validation and shows that the method that we were using previously can hopefully be used going forward.

I do think that Tesla will try to compress the time between registration and delivery of those vins over time,

but at least we know we have a pretty good sense of kind of how it works right now,

and that would be roughly six to eight weeks from registration to assignment or delivery.

This is kind of interesting timing because right now we are just a little bit more than six weeks

out from the end of the quarter, which means that any new registrations

that we see coming up in the next few days, maybe to a week, is probably a pretty good

indication of how high we could expect the ceiling of Vins to be before the end of the

quarter.

And I won't say that conclusively because we have seen the period of time between delivery and registration
