scrambling to keep up with demand from families who suddenly fancy themselves farmers. Rent

the chicken isn't new. It's been supplying backyard chickens to homes across the

U.S. and Canada since 2013. But because of the bird flu and empty store shelves, business is booming.

Location dependent, the RTC team, brings a coop with two to four egg-laying hens to someone's

home for six months at a time. They also provide

all the food, supplies, and instructions. Two hens produce about a dozen eggs per week, while four
