Good morning and welcome to kid news. I'm Kim. Today is Thursday, February 5th, 2026. And we begin with

chips getting cheaper, just in time for your Super Bowl spread.

PepsiCo, the maker of brands like Doritos, Lays, and Cheetos,

says it's cutting the price of its snacks by up to 15% in response to customer complaints

that they're too expensive.

We've spent the past year listening closely to consumers,

and they've told us they're feeling the

strained, said PepsiCo CEO Rachel Ferdinando. According to CNN, the changes will go into

effect in the U.S. this week. In addition to the price cuts, PepsiCo says it's also addressing

sluggish sales by releasing new trendier products, including Doritos with protein, fiber-filled popcorn,

and lays chips made with avocado and olive oils.

She's one lucky penny and talented, too.

Penny the Doberman Pinscher won Best In Show at the 150th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show,

with one on-scene dog correspondent describing her as Sinatra-esque, cool, unflappable, maybe a little ticked off.

In all, more than 3,000 dogs from all 50 states competed, according to USA Today.

The final event was held at Madison Square Garden in New York City Tuesday night and divided

breeds into seven groups, hound, toy, non-sporting, sporting, herding, working, and terrier.
