Good morning and welcome the Kid News. I'm Tori. Today is Tuesday, February 4th,

2025. And we begin with the Grammys threading a needle. Somehow organizers and attendees of

Sunday show needed to celebrate the glitz

and glam of music's best, while acknowledging the fire devastation just outside. By all

accounts, they succeeded. The event doubled as a fundraiser and brought in $7 million

for wildfire relief. Local businesses were given airtime, famous faces helped them

get their message across, and performers pick songs like, I love L.A. and California Dreamin to fit the

mood, which was subdued yet hopeful. And then there were the awards. After four defeats, Beyonce

finally won album of the year for Cowboy Carter and thanked L.A. Firefighters in her acceptance speech.

Other winners, Kendrick Lamar got Record of the Year and Song of the Year for Not Like Us,

while Sabrina Carpenter walked away with Best Pop Vocal album for Short and Sweet.
