I'm Tori.

Today is Friday, February 4, 2022, and we begin with opening ceremonies for the 2022 Winter

Olympics just getting underway.

The festivities began at 8pm in the host city of Beijing, China, which is 7am East Coast

time in the U.S.

First up is the always colorful parade of nations with 3,000 athletes from around the world

following their country's flag into the national stadium, which is also known as the

Bird's Nest.

And although competition has already begun in several sports, the games aren't officially

open until the Olympic flame is lit.

An athlete already getting extra attention, 18-year-old freestyle skier, Eileen Goo, who

is poised to become a breakout star.
