i put my mind my friends this is courtney from think and growchick.com i am recording this on the

morning of december 31 2015, which means 2015 is

officially over, or it will be, in a few hours, and we are going into 2016. And New Year's,

I'm telling you, is literally my favorite time of year outside of my birthday. My birthday is in July,

so it's perfect as kind of like a halfway point through the year. So I use my birthday as a time

to reflect and recalibrate and make sure I finish the year strong. And then obviously there's

new years, which is the awakening in the beginning of a fresh new start. So I just love that.

I love jumping into something new and I love New Year's resolutions and goals. I know a lot of

people hate it, but honestly, I feel like the only reason people hate stuff like this or New Year's

is because they feel like they're not making progress on a year-to-year basis,

which is really a shame because we only have, you know, so many years in our life when you think

about it.

I mean, if we're exceedingly lucky, maybe we'll get 100.

So, and 100 is not a lot, right?

So you just got to think every year is important.

So that's why I take this season and this time

of year very seriously because it's another opportunity for me to make the most of my limited

life i'm a limited human being god is only going to get me so much time on this earth so it's really

important to do the best you can every single year.

So at the end of each year, I like to record a podcast just talking about the lessons I learned in the closing year and then what I'm going to take into the new year.

And I did that last year.
