Summary

Igal Moria was infected with the spiritual bug in his teens has no plans of recovering. He joined Maharishi Mahesh Yogi at 19 (in 1973) and was involved with the TM movement for 25 years, working with Maharishi on developing courses and course materials on Maharishi Vedic Science and world religions. The Welcome to Buddha of the gas pump. My name is Rick Archer, and this is a weekly show in which I speak with someone who has undergone a spiritual awakening, and different guests tend to define

My guest this week is a dear old friend of mine named Egal Morya, andia. And I have known each other for probably

over three decades and had all sorts of adventures together here in Fairfield, Iowa when

we were students at Marjee International University, and then on courses and international

staff of the TM movement in Switzerland and various other European countries,

in India.

We were on a big project together in the Philippines,

where Egal was head of a comparative religion's development group,

which maybe he'll talk about more, and I was working with him on that.

So we've had all kinds of adventures.

In recent years, we both branched off in different directions, but we've stayed in touch.

And I think I'll start by having Egal fill out his own biography a little bit, give us a sense

of where he's from and what his course of life has been. And then we'll get more deeply into the interview.

So I was born 56 years ago in Israel, in Tel Aviv, and I grew up there.

Sometime during my military service at age 19, I came across transcendental meditation,

and shortly afterwards, maybe three weeks afterwards, I heard an audio tape by Maharshi,

in which he described Cosmy Consciousness.

And I remember that hearing him say those words, in which he described, cause me consciousness.
