Summary

The excuse of "I'm too busy" is one of the most common things I hear from entrepreneurs and business owners, and honestly, I've been there too. When you're juggling sales, clients, marketing, and all the behind-the-scenes tasks, it can feel like there's just not enough time in the day to get everything done.

But here's the truth: being busy doesn't always mean being productive. In today's episode, I'm breaking down how to overcome the "too busy" mindset once and for all. I'll show you how to identify what's actually draining your time and introduce you to powerful systems, automations, and workflows that can literally save you hours every single week.

That is me. Hello, hello, hello. If you follow me on Instagram stories,

0:23.0

did you see that Jason and I, my husband and I, were in Scottsdale last week, celebrating our

0:28.2

28th wedding anniversary, and we rode in one of those like, it's a kind of whammo. So what it's

0:33.2

called, one of those like driverless cars. It was so cool, friends. It was so cool. I was thinking that it was going to be really weird. Like I was thinking I was going to be so nervous. And it's just sad. It was almost like, I don't know, you almost feel like you were on like the subway or something. Like I got in. I wasn't. I wasn't nervous at all. It was actually really fun. And then one of my friends was like, was there glass in between you and like the steering wheel and I was like, no, there wasn't. She goes, well, could you like reach up there and like touch the steering wheel? I'm like, what kind of a psycho do you even think about that? And then I was like, I mean, it didn't even occur to me that somebody could do that. And now all I could think about is all the ways that that could have actually gone wrong. And then people started sending me like videos because I guess some of those whammo or waymo cars have like ended up

1:15.9

on golf courses and got into like wrecks. And now I'm rethinking that we even did that. But alas,

1:21.4

it was a fun trip. And the way my cars were interesting. Not even related at all to the podcast

1:27.0

episode today, but I just thought I would bring

1:28.2

that up. So today we're actually going to be talking about simplifying your workday, which again,

1:33.1

has nothing to do with Scottsdale or those cars, but it was just, I'm just still thinking about how

1:37.7

fun that was and the trip and all the things. But let's talk about your work day and just feeling

1:42.6

like stuck in daily tasks.

1:46.6

My guess is for those of you that have been running your business for a hot second,

1:51.8

that you're doing a lot of things that could probably be automated or delegated.

1:59.0

Things that, I don't know, that maybe every day, like, do you ever feel like,

2:05.3

okay, there has to be an easier way of doing things? I mean, I feel like that all the time.

2:09.7

I feel like every day feels like I'm starting from scratch, like emails, posts, DMs, content. Like every day

2:20.1

sometimes feels like I'm super busy but not productive. Do you feel the same way? And when you feel

2:25.0

that way, it's probably because there's no systemization to your work. And if you're feeling

2:31.1

like that, like you're working really hard but just spinning your

2:35.2

wheels, it's probably because you don't have any systems in place yet that allow you to scale
