Formed in 1980, Violent Femmes developed their sound while busking on the streets of Milwaukee.

The band's choice to be portable led to a stripped-down acoustic instrumentation, which,

when combined with their raw punk energy, gave them a unique sound early in their career.

Trained in classical and jazz, Victor is able to draw a seemingly endless variety of sounds

out of a minimal setup that often features only one or two drums.
