I have been with WTCA since 1994 in, out, and somewhere in between my podcast partner of the last three years,

the professor Greg Dooley. What a partner to have on the podcast and on the radio. Greg, it is the

day before Michigan football. What's going through your mind, man? The tension's going through

my mind. That's what's going through my mind. We're almost 24 hours away. I love it. Steve, you paid me a compliment.

Come on, people. I'm on a podcast with this man. This is a radio pro. He's a professional. He's a pundit.

I'm a mere professor. This is my fourth year at Michigan. I've been teaching three classes, the history of college athletics, a class yes on NIL, and the current state of college athletics, and finally a leadership class based on coaching.

But in my fun, I love to cover and talk about the history of Michigan football and love to do our podcast,

the professor and the pundit.

So it's awesome to be here on Fantastic Friday with you, man.

Already, the weather is cooperating.

It went from 90 to 65 within about a 24-hour period.

I mean, it feels like football is in the air.

In the evenings, I'm smelling smoke.

People are lighting fires in their backyards, camping out,

watching Big Ten games that started last night already.

And here we are, just, as you said, a little over 24 hours before Michigan opens a can of

whoop on the New Mexico Lobos.

Now, they canceled the misadventures of Sheriff Lobo in the early 1980s.
