Without a doubt, one of the greatest blessings of my life is that I grew up living close to my grandparents.

Before I turned 8, we lived just five minutes away from them.

And my mom tells the story that when we'd get in the car immediately, I would say as a young 2 year old girl,

go see Kide.

Klied was a big stuffed monkey that they had at their house.

And I wanted to go see Kide every time we got in the car.

I would sit next to them at church growing up and I remember listening to my grandma,

singing the alto line in the hymns.

And I credit her to how I learned how to sing part so easily at a young age.
