Oh, this is a fun one.

This has to do with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, but it's the same basically

all over the country.

It's a question of degree.

So you have a guy who files for a vanity plate, which happens all over the country, and they turn them down.

They go, nope, it doesn't meet our criteria.

It doesn't meet the requirements that we have, or it goes beyond our requirements.

And so here is what's really a lot of fun.

Who decides what is vulgar, objectionable?

It is one guy who is under the Texas Administrative Code.

It is the director of the department can decide no, yes, no.

Okay, so here is what the code says.

And this is a little bit wonky, but I want to go ahead and share it with you because this is pretty much across the country.

The alpha numeric pattern conflicts with the Texas DMV's current or proposed regular license plate

numbering system.

How?

The director or the director's designe finds the plate objectionable.

What does objectionable mean?

Well, it could include words or phrases slang in any language, patterns viewed in a mirror
