USA packing its bags for the Winter Olympics. Organizers have released a list of 232 qualifying athletes,

117 men, and 115 women, bringing their red, white, and blue best to Milan Cortina next month,

ranging from the youngest, 15-year-old freeskier Abby Winterberger to the oldest,

54-year-old curler Rich Ruahonen. It will be the fifth go-around for seven of the athletes,

including some familiar names like Lindsay Vaughn and Bob's Letters,

Kaylee Humphreys, and Ilana Myers-Taylor. The games will be spread all across Italy,

with sports like hockey and figure skating taking place in Milan and skiing and snowboarding

in mountain areas like Cortina. Competition is set to begin on February 4th with the opening

ceremony set for February 6.

Old Man Winter isn't done yet. According to USA Today, another possible storm is popping up on computer models for January 31st and February 1st. It's too soon, though, to know where it'll hit or how big it'll be. In the meantime, the big dig to clear cars, roads, and sidewalks from Fern's Fury continues. But it's being complicated by temperatures in the teens across the northern plains and as far south as Georgia. What's more, at least a half million people still had no power as of yesterday.

In New York City, remote learning was supposed to be the order of business yesterday, but only

about 400,000 students and staff logged in. 100,000 fewer than expected. Tech issues reportedly

dog some students, while others grab sleds and hit the closest hill instead.

In-person classes resume today.

If TikTok is feeling glitchy, you're not alone. Since Sunday, users across the U.S. have reported

issues logging into the app, scrolling their feeds, and reposting videos. At its peak, the site

down-detector reported more than 36,000 reports of the app not working properly. The company's

ownership issued a statement yesterday, blaming a U.S.-based data center power outage is the

culprit behind the disruption. The timing of the malfunction comes at a sensitive

time for the company, which just days ago transferred to a majority American ownership to
