I'm Kim. Today is Monday, January 26, 2026. And we begin with millions of you waking up to a snow day.

Those not quite as lucky, like kids in New York City, don't have to go to school, but do have to dial in for remote learning.

The reason? Winterstorm Fern, which for the most part lived up to the hype, dumping snow,

sleet, and ice across 34 states from New Mexico to Maine over the weekend. A million people lost

power, and for air travelers, chaos. 11,000 flights were canceled yesterday and thousands more are

grounded today. And while the snow is tapering off, the brutal cold is not. Temperatures in the teens

are forecast for Midwest and Mid-Atlantic states pretty much all week. It'll be East Meets West in Super Bowl 60.

Last night, a back-and-forth slug fest between the Rams and Seahawks ultimately went

Seattle's way.

Earlier in the day, it was New England, punching its ticket to the big game in a near

white-out game against the Broncos.

The victory was led by second-year Patriots quarterback Drake May, who did something even legendary QB Tom Brady

couldn't win a playoff game in Denver. The matchup for all the marbles will be held at Levi's

Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Sunday, February 8th. It'll be the Seahawks'

4th Super Bowl appearance and the Patriots 12th. TikTok beat the clock to find a buyer. Just hours

before the Friday deadline to sell to an American company or Go Dark, the China-based app announced a deal.

Among the group of new owners is U.S.-based Oracle, which will review the algorithm,

safeguard U.S. users' data, and then retrain the algorithm with new guardrails.

It's not necessary to download a new app, and experts say for the most part the experience

for America's 200 million users will be the same as it has always been.
