And we begin with the sporting world reeling from the loss of a legend.

Yesterday, 41-year-old basketball great Kobe Bryant passed away when his personal helicopter went down in dense fog in the hills of Calabassas, California, near Malibu.

The news circled the globe in minutes and rocked the NBA to its core.

More importantly, he was dad to four daughters, one of whom is only seven

months old.

Kobe's Impact went well beyond the game. Last night the Grammy Music Awards were held at the Staple Center, home of the Lakers, and now known as the house that Kobe built.

Fans left flowers outside, while inside celebrities and singers opened and closed the evening by paying tribute.

As for the awards themselves, the big winner was 18-year-old Billy Elish, who swept the four

biggest honors, including song, record, and album of the year and best new artist.

Whereas House Democrats went long and detailed, lawyers for President Trump went short and summarized.

That's apparently part of their strategy

to defend the commander-in-chief

from the very serious impeachment charges against him.

All told, the President's team is 24 hours to present their case.

They use just two hours of it on Saturday, and said they'll come in far under their limit

when all is said and done.
