reaction coming in hot as baseball standout at Chiro Suzuki becomes the first ever Japanese-born

player inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame, one vote shy of unanimous. Suzuki

received a thumbs up from 99.7% of the baseball writers, and according to USA Today,

that one last anonymous holdout is getting no love from social media with fans and sports

writers posting, Shame, Shame, Shame, and Out Yourself.

And why?

Suzuki earned 3,089 hits and stole 509 bases in his 19-year career, most of which was spent

with the Seattle Mariners.

He also won MVP, rookie of the year, 10 golden gloves, three silver sluggers, and holds the all-time

record for hits in a single season, with 262 in 2004.

Suzuki joins Derek Jeter in missing a unanimous induction, leaving pitcher Mariano

Rivera of the Yankees as the one and only player to hold that honor.
