And we begin with the Democratic race for president getting pretty crowded, the latest to officially jump in, California Senator

Kamala Harris. She joins Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbert, former

Maryland Representative John Delaney, former West Virginia politician Richard O'Hata, and businessman

Andrew Yang of New York.

A few U.S. Senators are exploring the possibility but have yet to make it official. They include Kirsten Gillibrand, Elizabeth

Warren, and Sherrod Brown. So far, no one from the Republican side has

announced his or her intention to challenge President Trump.

It doesn't snow much in South Carolina,

but that isn't stopping at least one school district from trying to take the fun out of it.

Anderson School District 5 wants to replace snow days

with classes online so students can do assignments at home.

The intent to reduce the need for makeup-up days in the summer.

Aside from missing out on sledding and snowball fights,

students are expressing concern about what to do

if the storm causes a power outage,

and they don't have internet.

You know how hard it is to get one classroom to be quiet. Imagine trying to get an entire city to zip it.

Cremona Italy is home to some of the world's finest instrument makers including the famous

stratovarius violin but these handmade pieces deteriorate with age so the

city is getting behind an ambitious project this month to digitally record these instruments, some are 500 years old, and make sure future generations won't miss out on hearing their classic sound.
