And we begin with a high-tech headache for kids who like to zone out in class. A Boston Technology Company called Brainco Inc. has

created a headband that detects and measures how much attention you're paying to any given subject

at any given time. The band uses sensors to monitor brain activity and with a push of a button, teachers can pull up a screen to see who zeroed in and who is spaced out.

Branko says the goal is to improve teaching techniques, reduce daydreaming,

and identify students who may need extra help.

The device is already being tested on thousands of students in China.

A number the company says is about to swell to millions.

A shark so popular she has her own Twitter account just made a rare appearance in Hawaii.

Deep Blue, as she's known, maybe the biggest great white in the world.

She's 20 feet long, about 50 years old, and according to researchers, quite possibly pregnant.

Blue was last seen off Mexico over the summer, but incredible video shot by one ocean diving

indicates she's wintering off of Oahu. Big Blue is friendly.

On the tape you can see her calmly swimming with free divers. That said, signs are up

warning beach goers and thrill seekers to be careful.

The East Coast is bracing for impact.

This weekend as much as 40 inches of snow will fall in the mid-Atlantic states, a dumping that will be followed by a

blast of Arctic air and temps near zero.

And yet one city, sure to get hit, not only welcomes this kind of weather, but wants to welcome you too.

Shop owners in Buffalo, New York say theirs is the warmest cold city in the country,

and to prove it, they're running a contest for an all-expenses paid trip for two. The only catch?

Winners must travel to Buffalo in the heart of winter to fully appreciate its cold gray
