Scott Bell, who joins us to talk Michigan basketball this morning and wish it was under better circumstances. Scott,

good morning. How are you? Yeah, I've, I've had better Monday mornings, but I'm still happy

to be here as always. Yeah, my man. You know, the ladies at least are, even though they lost

the USC, they're going in with more positive momentum.

That was a hell of a game, but we're going to start off talking about the men who don't have positive momentum.

Going in with the losing streak, not playing well at all and losing in the fashion in which they lost to Michigan State, Scott.

Just your takeaways from that Michigan State game, first of all.

Let's just start there.

Yeah, not great. Pretty disappointing. In a lot of ways, with Michigan State clinching the

Big Ten championship before this game, there's probably more on the line for Michigan than Michigan

State. I know Spartans still have seating to fight for and pride.

But, yeah, it was largely a pride game.

And I think it was a game that Michigan needed more.

But early in that game and really throughout the first half,

it was just Michigan State with its foot on the gas and Michigan

kind of just watching.

So it saw a little more fight in the second half, but at that point, the game's pretty

largely out of reach.

And this felt like the last real good chance for Michigan to get things right before you hit tournament time.

Obviously, the Big Ten tournament is as important as March Madness, so there still is an opportunity in Indianapolis to kind of get things going.
