Okay, a couple things have happened recently that made me smile and reflect on my early days when I was building my business because it had to do with people getting freaked out over the fact that they either got some unsubscribes from their email list

and or they got some negative comments from people in their audience as it related to them

selling. Listen, I remember these days because specifically, I was at a conference. I remember this

vividly. I was at a conference. This was in, I think, 2004. So yes, we're going way back. But I was at this conference in 2004 and I was just

starting to build my audience. And I think I had like maybe a few hundred people on my email list at

the time. And I remember sending an email out that morning to my email list. almost immediately after I had sent the email,

I got a couple unsubscribes. And I don't know about you, but like if you have ever experienced

your first unsubscribe, you're just hypersensitive to it, right? Like it kind of hits you like

right in the heart. Well, at least it did me. And I remember coming down from my hotel room down to, like,

the main lobby and where the event was. And a friend of mine was there. His name's Matt

Bassack. And Matt looked at me and he's like, dude, what is wrong? Because he could see, like,

in my face, like I had literally, it was like somebody had just like stabbed me in the heart.
