It's Wednesdays in the 8 o'clock hour, which means we get a chance to go inside the huddle with our friend Michael Spath.

Mike, welcome back.

How are you, my friend?

I'm doing great, guys.

Yeah, it's weird coming off of buys, right?

Like you're, we certainly have lots to talk about between Michigan basketball and the rest of the Big Ten, which had a really fun weekend and the Detroit Lions.

But it's always, it's always challenging to come off a buy when you don't have a game to talk about.

Yeah, I mean, it's the, I was going to ask you if you enjoyed the buy weekend. And I guess I wanted to start with the most recent. And we can kind of work our way backwards. But we had the basketball game last night, Michigan down at Little Seasons Arena, 85, 84, overtime victory. They had a double digit lead at the half. A daimara puts up ridiculous numbers. And I just want to point out, we were in the media.

I was in the front row of the media, and I was about, I think, two feet off the ground on a platform. And I'm pretty sure if I stood up, Adiomaro was still taller than me. I just wanted to point that out. But that defensive stand right at the end was right in front of us where we were at the media. And he's using that length. your thoughts did you watch that game last night with the victory over wake down at LCA?

Yeah, you know, it was funny.

So I was watching the game. I'm in Grand Rapids for a couple of days and I was visiting my goddaughter who just got engaged. And so we were watching the first half at her house. And then I got in the car to drive to my hotel and Ira you're going to say

shame on me that I didn't pull open the WTCA app which I should have done because I was trying to find

the game on the AM dial here in Grand Rapids and I was scanning through and scanning through and scanning

through right so I couldn't find it so finally I found it um about five minutes from my hotel and I pick it up and it's like Wake was like making this big comeback. And I was going like, wait, wait, wait, wait. What's happening here? Like Michigan was up by whatever was 13 or 15 points in a half and I'm going, what's happening? And so I rush into the hotel room, kind of like bypass the front desk, get up to my room.

And I'm turning it on.

I'm just going like, I didn't know what to make of it because I didn't see it or hear it for the big comeback.

And obviously, you know, the games like that, I think everybody's saying like, oh, you're not going to shoot like that and which you're not. I'm just glad they found a way to win because if they would have lost that game with the missed free throws down the stretch, with the three-pointers that they just clanked all night. And then honestly, Mike, I don't mean to cut you off. But I think so it's your fault. You were in the car and Michigan goes over 12 from the three point line.

I'm going to blame you.

It was.

It was my fault. And again, I should have just pulled open my WTCA app and listened to it, made it a lot easier on myself than trying to find it on a dial tone. But, you know, and then the overtime, right? Like they had so many unforced errors in overtime.

And I think one of the things that we look at this team when we say, gosh, man, between Mara and Johnson and Kadoe and Yaxel, like they have like some of the best transfers.
