Well, not Sam. He is still on family assignment until next week, but we have Alan True from 247 Sports joining us this morning to talk some Michigan and beyond recruiting. So good morning to Alan True. Alan, how are you, my friend?

0:13.1

doing great Ira thanks for having me it's great to have you on and it's really funny so yesterday i had obviously a couple days ago i'd asked if you could join me and you said yes and then i started

0:05.3

writing down some like some questions some guys I wanted to ask you about and then I go to social media last night and you were at a four-way scrimmage with cast tech Orchelake St. Mary, Celine and Clarkston and I think you had like half the guys I wanted to talk to you about or some of the questions I wanted to talk to you about were like between all those teams right there. That was a lot of talent to go see. Yeah, had to make the trip out. I mean, first of all, I like camps and seven-on-seven, so it's just not the same. It was good to see some actual tackling and actual football. But when you have those four schools, I mean, the amount of talent on that field, we're going to talk about the guys that are being recruited by Michigan, but you go down to even the guys on that field are going to play D2D3 ball. We're talking probably 30 deep on that field last night, maybe more with guys that will play at the college level. Yeah, pretty remarkable. Before we actually get into the Michigan guys, I want to ask you about a guy you used to cover who we talked about here on the show this week and his brother who you saw yesterday. C.J. Carr was named the starting quarterback at Notre Dame. Tommy Carr, of course, is the quarterback at Celine. And just your thoughts on the Carr brothers, one, the starting quarterback at Notre Dame and the other one going off to Miami is his choice, but he obviously has some time left at Celine.

0:09.2

Yeah, I mean, CJ has always been this kind of very poised, polished player.

1:31.6

He and Bryce Underwood, to tie this to Michigan, too, they put on one of just the most

1:37.6

incredible quarterback duels, I think we've

1:43.6

seen in this state in some time. I'm actually going to do something on it coming up where

1:46.8

CJ was going shot for shot with Belleville for a while, and he's always been ready for the

1:51.0

assignment. He got thrown in late in his freshman year at Celine right at the tail end. He got some varsity action, and he just always kind of carried himself in this way where this isn't a surprise to me, but accurate. And the thing about him, much better athletes than I think maybe some people know he haven't seen him play, like very mobile, escapes pressure really well. I think, and he did have a quarterback battle at Notre Dame. He didn't just get handed that thing. And I think he's always been up to the challenge. Tommy, kind of same thing, made a throw kind of rolling away from pressure last night in the end zone. That was just a great throw. It ended up being the guy caught it out of bounds. But really, really good athlete. Committed to Miami, Ohio, and it's very, very loyal to them, and they've obviously done a great job down there. He's got bigger schools trying all the time. There's power force that I think are still keeping tabs on him, but I think he's going to stick with Miami, and I think he's going to end up being one of the best quarterbacks in the Mac.

1:56.3

That'd be really cool. Always good to check in on the car kids. And, of course, we do a lot with the car family here on the show. So let's talk about those Michigan guys that you saw yesterday. I guess just take it away. The Michigan had offers. Michigan has guys coming on visits that you saw yesterday. Why don't you just run through? maybe it'll take too long, but take your time, go through the Michigan guys that you were watching yesterday that the guys that Michigan is really targeting.

3:10.1

Yeah.

3:13.5

So the very, I mean, the very first one is there was a Michigan commit on the field, and that was

3:13.9

Louis Esposito the fourth.

3:19.1

Obviously, his dad is a big Lou Esposito, defensive line coach at Michigan.

3:21.4

And Louis, as they call him, is, I mean, he came into Celine last year and was probably

3:26.7

the sixth man in the rotation at the scrimmage last year, and he's probably 235 pounds.

3:34.2

He's a good- size high school kid.

3:38.8

And I kid you not, I saw him in November and he was probably 250.

3:46.8

I saw him the next month.

3:48.0

He was 260, 262.

3:50.7

See him yesterday and he's six four and a half, maybe even six five now,

3:55.4

275 pounds.
