Bryce Marisch is going to join us next segment for the recruiting roundup this morning here on the Michigan Insider on the Big 1050 WTCA online at the big 1050.com. But a couple of Michigan football notes. One, if you missed the news from yesterday, it was right around 4 o'clock that the news broke that five-star freshman offensive tackle Andrew Babelola. And I have not looked this morning to see any follows, but I'm guessing we'll get an update over the next couple of days.

But it's feared that he has suffered a season-ending left knee injury.

Alejandro, around 4 o'clock, put out that Michigan declined to comment.

So nothing official yet.

We know that the elite, he is an elite offensive tackle prospect.

He was having a big-time fall camp, according to the coaches and his teammates. He was in a three-way competition for the left tackle job competing with redshirt sophomore Evan Link who had the job late last year and redshirt freshman Blake Frazier who Sam has talked a lot about Blake coming off the injury and starting to come into his own as well. And so it's a tough blow for Andrew

and for the team. We'll see what the, the true severity of it is and how long it keeps them out.

We don't really know. But I'll report yesterday. Starting with Matt Zinnitz from 247 sports and

CBS sports. He was the first to report it. Rough, rough news for Andrew Babelola and the

Michigan football team.

Sounds like they really liked the progression of how the line was coming along and they wanted to have 10 guys.

So now it's going to have to be maybe a different guy as your, you know, one of those 10 if he was part of that, which it sounds like he might have been.

Really tough, tough injury, hopefully for his sake and for the team's sake. It's whatever the length is, it doesn't keep him out for too much or at all of winter conditioning, too much or at all of spring ball, too much or at all of, you know, fall camp next year. We don't know what the injury is yet, but it's just all a matter of the severity.

And so you hope he can come back sooner rather than later, and you actually can come back maybe even this year.

But he's a freshman, so you put him in a position.

He was in a unique position anyway as a freshman to start or play as a true freshman.

So he take it as a redshirt ear, but hopefully it's not the severity of it isn't as bad as just sounds ominous. That's all. I don't have anything more to say on it other than what it was put out there and what was reported. It just sounds very ominous. So that was the news from Michigan football yesterday. And that happened and was reported after the media availability, which is why, not that they would have commented on it at all, but that's why you heard nothing from Brian Jean-Marie or Steve Casull who you heard from earlier this morning.

One other college football note from yesterday that I wanted to mention, Ms. has crossed my social media feed yesterday evening, I want to say.

And apparently Matt Patricia had a press conference, availability yesterday for Ohio State. I have no idea what he said. I don't care, to be honest. Unless they're saying things like who their starting quarterback is, which they announced that yesterday that Julian San is going to be their starting quarterback, I generally don't care. Right. Like, it's not, what's going on in fall camp for Ohio State?

It does not, is not all that relevant to me.

Once they start playing, obviously, I start watching and focusing, but I, fall, doesn't matter. I don't need to hear their coaches of updates and all that kind of stuff. But I see this from 11 Warriors. I'm pretty sure it was 11 Warriors. I put it on my feed.

It comes through my feed and I see this.
