We're going to spend most of our morning talking about the Pistons. Rough loss last night. We talked about it being more or less a near must-win situation for the Pistons, and they did not. So now they put themselves in a real hole down 3-1 in their best of seven opening round series against the magic in a 1-8 matchup. And so they're very close to being on the wrong side of history that you do not want to be on that wrong side.

But we're going to get back to that in a little bit.

There were a couple other stories in college sports yesterday that are of interest to us, that are relevant to us us and want to bring them up.

The first one, this is remarkable.

Only 71 players entered the 2026 underclassmen, entered the 2026 NBA draft.

Down from 106 last year, they had a, they had what, 363 in 2021.

So five years ago, 363 in 2021. So five years ago,

363 early entries into the NBA draft.

There are only, what, 60-something picks?

That means 300 people declared and there was no spot for you.

It's crazy.

Even with 71 players, the draft,

it's the lowest early entry total since 2003 to have only 71.

There aren't 71 draft positions.

Now, I know that not everybody entering as an underclassman knows they, well,

we'll see how many stay in the draft because some are going to withdraw from the draft.

So that number is going to actually get even lower.

That's part of it. So you're going to, you are going to withdraw from the draft. So that number is going to actually get even lower. That's part of it.

So you are going to lose a few more of those.

But the number is 71.

That's 45 fewer.
