Hello, my name's Justin Spurgeon, and I'm the pastor of Messiah Baptist Church, and I'm very

thankful for this podcast and the blessing that has been to my life.

I started out just as the guys on the program, many of them did.

They were born into fundamentalism, and I'm thankful for my

upbringing and the blessing that it was to have my parents teach me at home, but also take me

to a church that taught me the gospel, and I was saved at a very young age. And as I grew up in

the church with my parents taking me there each time the doors are open,

you know, I got saved at six years old, and I'm thankful that I have the assurance of my salvation.

But as I went through that time, I was amazed to find out the different churches

my parents took me to. We went through a couple church splits, and it was a difficult thing to

see such anger in the churches that we attended. But after that, the first split, we went to,

we went to Calvary Baptist Church in Trenton, Georgia.

I believe Brother Nathan pastors there in Trenton, and I'm glad to hear of another good, or a good church there,

giving the gospel and putting it out for the people to hear in that community.

But in Trenton, Georgia, I went there and went to a very staunch, independent Baptist church.

And it was there that I just got totally bought into it.

I thought this is the right thing to do.

This is the kind of people I wanted to be as a young person.
