Welcome back inside the Ann Arbor Studios of the Big 1050 WTCA online at the Big 1050.com. So you heard already on the office side of the ball from a couple of freshmen, Savian Heider and Tommy Carr. On the defensive side of the ball, you heard from graduate transfer linebacker, a seamo and also junior defensive end, Lugard, Ed Agpai. And now let's hear from the head coach following Saturday's spring game activities at Michigan Stadium. Following it's the conclusion of the 15 spring practices. Obviously, the team has a lot of work to be done. They hit the field for their first game. I believe it's 138 days from now, give or take, a day or two, one way or the other. I think that's the math, though. I think it's 138 days. The countdown to the season will begin next month. But teams are going to have a little bit of time off before they get rolling again with conditioning in June. And then, of course, fall camp at the beginning of August. But between now and then, still a lot of work to be done to discuss that and more. We heard after the game on Saturday from head coach Kyle Whittingham. So here is new Michigan head football coach Kyle Whittingham now here on the Michigan

The big congrats to the basketball team.

1:02.8

Great season from Coach May and the boys.

1:07.1

Spring game.

1:08.4

Always an interesting situation.

1:11.3

You know, the main thing is get a look at everybody

1:13.8

and as a game-like situation as we can manufacture,

1:16.3

especially twos and threes that haven't handled much game experience, if at all.

1:21.7

Offensive production today wasn't real good, obviously.

1:25.0

I only found the end zone one time,

1:27.0

but there was a lot of positives.

1:29.4

I thought we did a good job taking care of the football. There were no turnovers, but again,

1:34.3

when you were playing yourselves, that means your defense didn't create any takeaways,

1:37.3

so it's give and take. But highlights, I thought Tommy Carr showed a lot of poise and did some good things. You know, Bryce had limited time, you know, just that first quarter. And when you play a spring game and you split up the team evenly like we did, you know, you're playing with, you know, the ones aren't together and the twos aren't together. So you're kind of a hodgepodge, but, but you still get a good idea of, you know, who's playmaker and who's not.

2:05.1

And, you know, we felt like we got to accomplish this spring as a whole,

2:06.4

exactly what we needed to.

2:11.0

Football team got better fundamentally, technique-wise,

2:15.3

got complete schemes installed on both sides of the ball.

2:17.5

So we had a lot of work to do this spring.

2:20.2

And I think we made a lot of progress, like I said.

2:25.8

Huge importance. We came out of this game with, you know, really nothing, no injuries. And only one significant injury throughout the course of spring. So fortunate in that regard.
