I love to hike. Like, it's my soulmate form of exercise because it ticks off every one of my

exercise boxes. Steep train is my favorite because then I'm getting cardio and I'm getting

toning. And I'm outside in nature, which is like the most essential

thing ever for my mental health. And it is so beautiful that I don't get bored out of my mind

the way that I do on a treadmill or doing a video or doing any other kind of exercise ever,

basically. I just really, really love to hike. I love it so much, in fact, that I hike the trailhead near my home

every single day. Now, it's a popular trail, both for tourists and for locals, because it gives you

such a big bang for your buck, because it's not that long, but it's really strenuous and the view is spectacular.

And because of this, there's always a good amount of traffic on the trail.

So a few weeks ago, I got there to the trailhead a little bit earlier than I usually do.

And there'd also been a lot of rain in the days leading up.

And so because of that, the trail just wasn't nearly as packed as it normally was.

And it hadn't been for a few days because of the conditions.

People don't want to hike in the mud, which I understand.

I don't care because I got to get out there or I lose my mind.
