One more segment, Sam Webb, Derek Moore, behind the uniforms right now here on the Michigan Insider on the Big 1050 WTK.

And so, Derek, as we get back around and talking about football and planning, you know, speaking things into existence.

I talked about it at the beginning of this interview, talking about you in all American fashion.

You know, the difference between good and

great I like to say is do you do it every time out? We've seen you be brilliant in some games.

Can you be brilliant every game? That is about preparation. And so where is Derek Moore

better this year or heading into this year compared to where you ended last year?

Where have you improved?

I'll say where I first I'll say where I improve, you know, first going into camp and probably going to the season, you know, really just taking care of my body.

I feel like last year I probably didn't do much of a good job that the season, you know, really just taking care of my body.

That was really like really one of my goals, you know, just going into camp and also going to the season healthy.

And then I would say also, you know, just being more like explosive off like that first step,

you know, like get off and getting off the ball more. I feel like I talk to a lot of, you know, well, I got a lot of feedback from, like, a lot of scouts, and that's pretty much, like, the biggest thing that they wanted to see from, you know, my first step explosion, how quick can I get off the ball? A lot of a lot of them said like the power is there you know the built there everything you know everything look you know perfect you know like you know body wise you know things like that but like how quick how quicker can i be off that ball so that's probably like my main two things, you know, just being healthy and staying healthy,

you know, how, you know, quicker can I get off that ball?

And then also, um, um, my coaches, you know, for them, what they want to see for me

is just, you know, a different type of motor.

Um, where you really dig about a lot of as rushes or you look at a lot of ass rushes, you know, in the NFL, a lot of them got like that different type of motor. And for me, because I'm so much of a layback guy, I really don't have that motor. You know, I really just go out there and just play. I feel like that's always been me, but I feel like I do have a motor inside of me that I can break out.

I have break it out before, but, you know, if I can break that out every game, I feel like I'd be dominant. And so, you know, one of the things that I see great players do is they take pieces of other great players, man. and you've had the fortune of playing with a lot of great guys up close and personal.
