Summary

In this episode of the Mind Shift podcast, we delve headfirst into the murky waters of fear in a conversation titled "Reprogramming Fear".

We expose fear for what it is - an unseen yet present force that stands between us and the life we're destined to live. Fear cages us in our comfort zones and drowns the spark of potential within us, but we've got the power to change that narrative. Fear is just faith distorted. It's faith that's been twisted into projecting not hope but despair, not potential but failure.

We are hardwired for faith - faith being the bridge that takes us from the mystery of the unknown to the familiarity of the known. The unknown is where every great thing that's waiting to happen in your life resides. But fear steals the energy that's meant to fuel our faith. It taints our worldview, our perception of God, and even our faith, filling us with a debilitating paranoia that we're alone against a world that's conspiring against us.

This episode peels back the layers on the duality within us. We're creatures of conflict, housing two voices that are at war with each other. One voice is the champion of our soul, proclaiming our worthiness, rooting for us to claim the good that's meant for us. The other voice is the prophet of doom, whispering doubts, telling us we're not ready, not deserving. I'll share a raw truth with you: "I became proof of my own fears." We've got to recognize that we're the ones giving life to these fears.

But here's the good news. We're not doomed to this fate. We've got the power of choice. We can choose faith over fear, we can choose to become masters of ourselves. The key to 'reprogramming fear' is to change our actions to change our minds. It's about getting up and getting it done, not just planning or dreaming. It's about putting our words into action, not just talking the talk but walking the walk. This will not only foster personal growth but also earn the trust and confidence of others, which in turn inspires us to live life in its true sense - full, fearless, and free.
