You heard from special teams coach, special teams coordinator, J.B. Brown.

0:09.5

Now we're going to hear from running backs coach Tony Alford.

0:11.6

He had a lot to say about the Michigan offense and beyond.

0:13.8

So let's get the running backs coach Tony Alford and listen to some interesting stuff in there from Tony.

Now here on the Michigan insider on the big 1050 WTKA. All right, that did not work. We're going to try that again. I had a little technical difficulties as I just loaded that in there. So let's try that again. Yesterday we heard from Tony Alford, Michigan running backs coach. He met with the media yesterday. And when he met with the media yesterday, again, he said some interesting things, including being asked about where he was previously, and that, of course, was down in Columbus. So let's get to that. Now, trying it again. Hopefully this won't fail me now. Here is Michigan running backs coach Tony Alford, now here on the Michigan Insider on the Big 1050 WTK. You know, we've heard a lot about that Jordan Marshall and Justice Haynes are sort of

0:55.7

1A, 1B.

0:57.1

What sort of, are you defining roles, like maybe like, 2C1 as a short yardage guy?

1:02.7

No.

1:03.7

No, that's a good question, but no.

1:05.8

Both guys are adept at all the entire offense, complete players.

1:48.5

They're both very talented dudes. So, yeah, but there's no defined roles like, this guy's going to do this, this guy's going to. There's some things that maybe you're better at. And, you know, Jordan, I'll say for, if you said, I had to pick someone to go for short yardage, I'd probably go with him. He's more rugged in between the tackles a little bit. But to sit there and say that justice couldn't go in short yardage and go line, that'd be a falsehood whatsoever. They're both capable of doing that. And obviously, I mean, they're complete dynamic. We know that, but can you just compare and contrast their games a little bit? Like, is one better in pass pro? Yeah, I would say this if I had to kind of cut it up a little bit,

1:53.0

I'd say that Justice may have some more big play potential out on the perimeter and things like that.

1:57.4

He's probably a little more apt to take the ball out on the perimeter a little bit.

1:58.5

More than Jordan is.

2:06.0

He's strictly, I mean, he wants to go north and south, and he's a banger that way, and it's shown that he can do that.

2:06.2

But he can also get you in the perimeter, just as just can get you interiorly.

2:10.5

They both catch the ball.

2:11.5

Well, I think Jordan probably a little more ahead right now in the past protection scheme

2:15.0

as far as just the attributes of executing the block itself,

2:19.8

not to where they fit in protection, but actually executing the block.

2:24.0

They're both good at it, but I'd say Jordan's a little further ahead right now.
