Double dipping.

Miz, I love watching broadcasters double dip. Yeah. Welcome back to The Michigan Insider here on the Big 1050 WTKA online at the Big 1050.com. I always have great appreciation for like the broadcasters that do, you know, at CBS and Turner that do the first two days of March Madness when they're doing four games in a break, two more games and then they're done, but you're doing four games in a day.

That's a lot. You know, the stamina of the energy is one thing. I know you're not playing and running, but that's a lot of talking. Yeah. It's a lot of using of the voice. And it's a lot of prep, too, because you're just talking about four games, that's eight teams, etc.

So that's a lot of prep.

And the prep work is different,

for that than say what Jason Benetti did on Saturday. But what a baller move. What a great day.

I bet you he had the best day. He's a guy that at some point in time I have a couple of questions

for him. Professional or professional, I have some questions. I'd like to ask him just because of,

and you guys are talking about during the break, but he calls the Tigers game. He calls the Lions game because they play a one o'clock game on Saturday, their preseason finale. And then he calls the Tigers game on Saturday night at Comerica Park. Now, I know they're not next to each other, but the media entrances, I don't think it could be further apart.

I believe the Ford Field media entrance.

It's on the back side. It's on the back side, on the opposite side of, you know, so the opposite side from Comerica Park. Like closest to 375. Correct, right. The other side. so you don't stand between you and Comerica Park to go in there.

And then the media entrance to Comerica Park is a home plate area

on the early third base home plate side. And so that's

all the way around. So they, Tigers people put Benetti on a golf cart and they zoom them around

to the, you know, from one, from the exit of Ford Field to the entrance of Comerica Park. And I wonder if he realized the kind of reception that he'd get in this town. He's really good. So I, this is not about anybody else, although we could have comments about other people that have called Tigers games or other places. And like there are guys that are good at calling games. There are guys that are not good at calling games. And then there are guys that are great at calling games. And he is great at calling a game. And to have him here, and it seems like he really likes being here, he's not a local guy. But you can have a guy like that become one of your own and want to stay. And when you give him the reception and the treatment that he had on Saturday, because the Tigers post that video on social media of him in the golf cart, going from one to the other, and he's getting people shouting at him, you know, probably a few high fives he's going by in the cart and stuff. He's a broadcaster. Like, we don't, you know, we don't take gigs to, like, get that kind of a reception.

We love doing this, so we take gigs. But I'd have to ask him as a guy who called games for the White Sox. And then he now calls games for the Tigers. So you go from a basement, you know, a seller-dweller team and a team that plays second fiddle in their own city when it comes to baseball. And so you're behind the Cubs in baseball.

You're also behind the Bears behind the Cubs in baseball.

You're also behind the Bears and the Blackhawks and the Bulls.

So you're the fit team in, you know, when it comes to the major teams in the market.
