so it was pretty much a baseball football because college football kicked off as the end of the regular

preseason for the NFL even though those games show you and mean nothing um and it was of course

golf football baseball that was the weekend i think for a lot of us definitely was for me i watched a little

bit of baseball i watched a little bit of football i played some golf and I watched a lot of golf. Again, I, yes, I hit the greatest eight iron of my life and I hold one out from 145 for an eagle on a part of five. It's maybe the greatest shot I've hit my adult life. It was phenomenal. It was really cool to watch the ball just rolling on the green. Someone says, go in and then it just disappears. And yeah, I've never done that before. I played a lot of golf. I've never done that before.

But, you know, I'm turning 50 this year, so that stuff doesn't count. Shoot, I barely remember what the hell I did. I know. It doesn't really count. I fairly were what I did Sunday.

But we went out early Saturday.

And one of the reasons we went out early Saturday.

And one of the reasons to go out early was to get home and to get back and watch golf.

And it turned into a really fun weekend of golf watching the players championship.

And what a great story Tommy Fleetwood ended up being because a few weeks ago, a couple weeks ago, he had his, you know,

I don't want to say he choked, but you could probably say that.

And he's had a few, it was the third.

Yesterday was the, this week it was the third or fourth time this year.

He had the lead after three rounds.

And he hadn't won any of them.

It was his 164th tournament on the PGA tour. Now, he's won a bunch of times overseas on the DP World Tour, and he's a great player. He's had great success at the Rider Cup. We're going to see him next month in the Ryder Cup. He had never won on the PGA Tour. And the story had gotten to the point because he is, by all accounts, a phenomenal dude. And again, he's a great golfer. He just hadn't won here. He's finished top 10 many times. But he had everybody, it seemed like, pulling for him. When your Twitter feed is tweets and retweets from celebrity athletes like LeBron James and Caitlin Clark all about, this is your day. Yep. Like make this be the day. I hope this is the day.

And then he goes on to win.

What a phenomenal way to have it go out. And then did you see the goat? Charles Wilson tweet about it? No, I didn't actually. Fleetwood for the big W. Congrats, champ. And never a better time for your first PGA tour win. It's not wrong. It's the biggest event of the year that's not a major.
