And now we go to the defensive side of the ball. And first up, we're going to hear from a young linebacker who's going to have an expanded role, in particular in the first half of the game this Saturday night at Oklahoma. Here is young linebacker, sophomore Cole Sullivan from last night.

What would you like more of the pick or the sack?

That's a hard question.

I think the pick I was just more starstruck in the moment.

But in the sack, I was a little more fired up afterwards, but they were both

pretty fun.

It's good to get to choose between those two, I guess, how enjoyable was making such a, I mean,

we've been hearing about you all camp and then to make an impact like that on the first game.

Yeah, I was just so grateful, you know, for, you know, seeing how excited all the guys were for me. And just really in general, how excited our guys were for each other, that whole game. You know, not just for me, but for everyone making plays. And that was just great to see out of our team. When you see Jayhawt get injected, what's going through your head? I mean, first of all, you know, I thought that was an unfortunate call for him. I feel bad just because he's one of our leaders and, you know, I hate to see him come out of the game. But, of course, you know, I had to mentally deferred myself. So, you know, I figured maybe I'd probably be getting some more rough here in the game. Did the coach tell you, like, hey, like, Cole, get ready.

Like, we're going to need you more here in the second half?

No, not necessarily.

I mean, I was already pretty ready to go.

Yeah, I mean, I was already thinking about getting in the game.

What have you learned from playing behind Jashon and Ernest?

Pretty much everything.

I mean, I learned how to be a pro with everything I do,

take care of my body.

It's not just on the field, but in my preparation,

rehab and rehab, those guys just do everything, right?

Mr. J-Shod, what, you've never gotten a chance to talk to him?

He's my first sport.
