| 0:16.8 | So let's get to that right now. |
| 0:17.8 | Here is Chip Lindsay from Saturday. |
| 0:19.5 | Now here on the Michigan insider on the Big 1050 WTCA. I know it's going to be a drone more decision as well. But how quickly would you like to have the quarterback decision? Yeah, I think you always want to know as soon as you can. I mean, that's the goal. I do think that, you know, we have a good plan on you know competition and getting guys reps and I think |
| 0:39.1 | more than just getting reps put them in different situations like and it takes time to do that |
| 0:43.4 | for instance you know you can have so many days of what they call install right usually base downs |
| 0:48.1 | and so forth but then as you get to third down you don't do that early in camp sometimes as you get |
| 0:52.6 | to red zone so I think for us we're trying to rotate those guys and put them all in those different situations and see how they respond because I think really the key to playing good quarterback is playing is understanding situational football and making great decisions. And they're all competitive. They're all smart. They're all doing a great job when they get their reps. But, you know, when the heat's on and you're in those tight moments, you know, who can run the team and who can make the best decisions is the key. |
| 1:17.6 | I know a few years ago your decision was obviously probably made before the season, but last year is how far did you guys take it in North Carolina? |
| 1:25.6 | Yeah, okay, last year I get what you say. |
| 1:29.7 | Well, we made a decision probably a couple weeks before we played, |
| 1:33.4 | and then we had an injury, you know, the first game of the season. |
| 1:35.8 | Lost him for the season. |
| 1:37.1 | So that was why that competition was so important, too, to get those other guys' reps. |
| 1:41.9 | And then, you know, as the season went, we end up playing two more guys and finally settled on the guy who out of camp was our third guy. So I do think you have to be prepared. I've had another season where we had to play due to injury, you know, five different quarterbacks in Arizona State, way back. So getting them all prepared, getting them all reps, getting them all opportunities is important to us. |
| 2:01.9 | And, you know, that's what we're doing. |
| 2:05.3 | Aaron, is the picture any clear the quarterback position after spring or is the fact that Mikey didn't take any snaps? |
| 2:12.1 | Yeah. |
| 2:12.3 | Jake Garcia is coming in. |
