So on Saturday, our first check-in during fall camp with the Michigan football team.

We actually have one coming up later on today with some players.

But on Saturday, we had an opportunity to catch up with the coordinator's offensive

coordinator, Chip Lindsay defensive coordinator, winked martindale.

So let's get things started on the defensive side of the ball.

Early, really early.

Today's the first day, we're actually wearing wearing full pads and we'll get to thud.

That means when you say thud, you're not taking anybody to the ground.

Any of that stuff, I think we've done a great job with our strength staff and Sharon has done a nice job of starting to ramp up as we go.

It's not just you go out there and you start playing football,

you start ramping it up. The coaching staff defensively, who you guys know I love, and I think it's the best

in the world. They've done a great job initially just starting off. Every year you start off,

you start off, but down at the foundation, you tear it down. Doesn't matter what happened in the past or anything else.

You take the defense and, you know, you start from the foundation and build it back up.

And that's the same thing as a football player, too.

So what are we working on right now?

Fundamentals, you know, from stance, start, you know, technique, steps, tackling. We'll do takeaway drills, you know, technique, steps, tackling.
