NFL draft over the weekend, the Lions made seven selections.

And at the conclusion of the draft on Saturday night, we heard for the third and final time,

once after each round, we heard from Lions general manager Brad Holmes.

So here is Brad Holmes recapping the NFL draft lion style.

Plugged in Iowa previously, Alabama.

This year it's Georgia.

Is there ever something about specific programs and just the way they prepare talent that appeals to you as an evaluator?

Yeah.

Obviously, before I got this job, I was living in Atlanta, Georgia for a long time, just

scouting the southeast.

And then when the Rams moved out to L.A., I just kind of stayed in Atlanta.

But obviously, have been to Georgia practices a lot a lot and has been around that program a lot.

And it is, it's unlike anything else that I've seen live in terms of a college practice,

in terms of just the intensity, you know, saving at Alabama was was very similar.

But just the intensity, the physicality, the detail, the tempo,

the whole thing, the energy. I mean, it's just, it's so when you can go through that kind of

regiment and you practice like that, you know, that they're ready. But I think, you know, everything that Coach Marks have done, you know, with that program,

I think everything speaks for itself.

But, but yeah, I never really go into it thinking, you know,

oh, we're going to get, you know, these Iowa guys or these Georgia guys or these Alabama guys.
