And so Ernest, man, setting aside ball for a second because, you know, life,

your approach to life, um, affects your approach to football.

And I'm curious as I listen to you talk, where do you, where does that perspective comes

from where you talk about, hey, man, it's all about

your preparation.

It's never what you do day of.

It's what you do leading up to the day of.

Where does that perspective that you have, or like you said, this adversity that I'm going

through in the Texas game, yeah, it was tough, but this is not anything compared to like

real life adversity. Where does that come from for you? For myself, it really comes from the mindset that, you know, you have people counted on you. And, you know, with that sense, was you have someone count on you, you know, you have an obligation and responsibility to do what you need to do to get that job done. And so after the Texas game, you know, for myself,

where I didn't get the job done. So as a man, I have to be, I have to look myself in the mirror and figure out where it was in my preparation that wasn't able to have the end result that I wanted. And so that's what it comes down to. Now, a young age, you know, be adopted, you know, it really shows you a lot of things where preparation is the only thing you have, right?

You know, you're going you know, it really shows you a lot of things where preparation is the only

thing you have, right? You know, you're going to be put in situations with adoption where a lot of

things are brand new to you and you don't really have the answers with you because everything's new,

but you're asked to be, to act and to behave in a way that you, it's like you've already been

there before. And so with that, it's really, I just knew for myself that if I would, any, have any chance or opportunity in my life,

we can prepare for something, you know, and really have an answer or have an idea of kind of how I wanted to act and behave, you know, I wanted to make sure I was in control of that.

Ever since being adopted coming into America. And so with that football, I just really just implemented the same thing. And, you know, with people kind of knew, you're going to do anything you can. So when I put my head on the pillow every night, you know, you think about what you did that day, I always want to feel like I'm net positive. I want to make sure that whatever I did, I feel like I benefited myself. Because the thing is, you won't be able to control everything that happens today, right? There's so many external factors that happen. Yeah, as a man, you know, we are evaluated upon how we respond to those things. And, you know, for myself, I take pride on how I respond to those things and, you know, whether it's short,

very short, short-minded about thinking. You know, I read a book last summer and I really,
