So some Michigan basketball news and notes and starting with good news.

Very good news, in fact.

Michigan Siney Marcus Mueller yesterday announced on Instagram on social media

that he is cancer-free.

So you know that he is cancer-free. So, you know, that he had announced back in, he was diagnosed in January with testicular cancer.

He announced yesterday that he is cancer-free, the incoming Wolverine.

And I'll be honest, I don't care if he ever plays a minute of meaningful basketball. Yes, I do, but you know what I mean? It doesn't matter if he plays a minute of meaningful basketball just for this opportunity for him to arrive on campus and be healthy. That in itself, to me, is a win. When you are that young and you get diagnosed with something like that, it's awful.

I mean, it's awful at any age.

But I can only imagine what it's like to be at, you know, you're in high school.

So seven foot three center.

He's a native of Denmark.

He has played for the Denmark youth national team.

And he was Michigan's first commitment in the 2026 recruiting class.

He signed back with Michigan back in November.

And he was looking forward to seeing what he brings to the table.

Obviously, he's got elite size at 7.3, 2.30. And we know Michigan working with Biggs what the opportunities might be on the basketball court.

But to me, it's not about what is on the basketball court.

It's about everything else about that conversation.

I remember reading about that back in January.

So now we're talking, you know, almost six months ago now.

We were five-half, give or take months ago.
