So it's a game week.

It's the first game week of the Michigan football season. Coming up in a little bit, your chances to win passes to the Bud Life Victor's Lounge at Joe's Garage. But in the meantime, Tuesdays we have a chance to catch up with some players of the Michigan football teams. Last night, we had a chance to catch up with a few guys, including starting left tackle Evan Link.

So let's start with Evan Link, who met with the media last night now here on the

cruise uh as mission impossible uh how would you feel about facing him? Another challenge is another opportunity to play. So I've just been focused on what's going on in our building. In terms of winning the left tackle job, what are the steps you feel like you took to submit that? I mean, so I think I've taken a lot of strides in my mental game and physical. A lot of things that were lacking last year, I think I've gotten a lot better at. I really think that competition in camp helped me get there. Babs was really good at some things that I needed to improve on, so I have to compete with him and Blake in that regard as well. Really helping improve my game and take it to another level.

To feel completely different to you now, a year later from when you were thrust into it last year?

I would say, just because, I mean, to be honest, I wasn't really expecting last year.

And I was a complete shot. It was a surprise to me, but it was just great opportunity.

And I think this year, obviously, being playing 11 games, there's a lot more, I know what I'm doing out there. I have that confidence that, I mean, I can compete with the best people out there. I mean, Derek and T.J. challenged me every day. So if I can compete with those two guys, I compete with anybody in this country. Does it help that you're playing next to Gio again, even though you're both on the different side? And you're probably more comfortable on the side. Yeah, I mean, playing next to Gio again is, it's fantastic. I mean, he's taking his game to another level since last year as well. So playing next to him, in my opinion, it's almost like an extra little safety blanket where I know he's going to be where he, I need him to be when he needs to be there. So, I mean, obviously, I had that chemistry with him last year too.

And he's next to him meetings, messed around, have fun with him all the time. So, uh, no, it's very exciting to play next to him this year, especially the way he's playing in camp.
