So last night we had an opportunity to catch up with some of the Michigan football players as they're going through the first game week of the Michigan football season. Of course, we're getting ready for Saturday. We go on the air with the chap on-site fueling countdown to kickoff at 3.30 live from the Budlife Fitters Lounge at Joe's Garage. We'll be giving away passes starting in a little bit here on the show.

Really excited for Saturday and game day, of course, excited for Friday. We have fantastic Friday coming up in a couple of days. We will be wall-to-wall, maze and blue, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. here on the Big 1050 WTK. Sam and I are going to host in the morning. We're going to hear from Ms.

in the middle of the day.

The professor and the pundit, Greg Dooley and Steve Clark, are going to host a couple of hours later on in the day. And then, of course, the MZone with Jamie Morris. We'll wrap things up for Fantastic Friday coming up in a couple of days here on the Michigan Insider. or excuse me in a couple days here on the big 1050 WTKA.

Well, special teams ace extraordinary and wide receiver, former walk on Joe Taylor, who met with the media.

He had a lot to say as well to getting the fans and the talk to the media, getting ready for the football season.

So let's get to wide receiver and special teamer Joe Taylor, who met with the media last night.

What did it mean to you to be named an alternate captain?

Yeah, no, I mean, it was great to be named after my teammates, you know, being a walk on here and then eventually, you know, being named an alternate captain. Obviously, Rod, Max, Gio, Marlin, Errin, D. Moore, and T.J., I mean, it's a great group of guys to be a part of, so definitely a great honor. Chania Goodwoodman's kind of named by Sharon as, like, that third player in the wide receiver room. What have you seen just from his improvements throughout this entire off season? Yeah, no, I think the very first day of camp, he came up to me and Payton O'Leary, and we were kind of the, you know, three older guys in the room, and he just came up to and he said what's the what's the secret to this and I think from that I knew that he was you know, three older guys in the room, and he just came up to us and he said, what's the, what's the secret to this?

And I think from then I knew that he was, you know, he was about it.

And he's gotten a lot better in fall camp.

And, you know, I mean, hopefully, you know, he's ready to go.

So he's been great this fall camp and excited for him or whatever happens this fall.

What do you think you did to distinguish yourself to be an alternate captain?

This sounds really simple. Probably just be a good person.
