It is time to go behind enemy lines to meet Michigan's opponent to Washington Huskies.

Our guest for this week's episode of Behind Enemy Lines is Chris Feders, who covers the Washington Huskies over at Dogman, part of our 24-7 sports network.

Chris, the Huskies enter this game at 5-1.

They are coached by Jed Fish, making a homecoming, of course.

He's a former Michigan offensive coordinator under Jim Harbaugh.

These are two programs that haven't met a ton in their all-time history.

But now this is the fourth meeting in the last five seasons,

as there was a non-conference series. There was obviously the national championship game appearance, and now

both teams are members of the Big Ten conference. Chris, this is year two for Jed Fish. It's teams

that have met each other quite a few times over recent years. What's the state of the program

and what's the mood in Seattle

as Washington travels out for this game against Michigan? Well, I think generally the mood is

cautious optimism, kind of as always, when they're playing okay. And I think they've found some

road form now, which I think is really, really important because they didn't win a road game last year at all.

So that was kind of the first thing that they had to do.

And ironically enough, the first road game that they had this year was at Washington State in the Apple Cup, which was played in September instead of November for the first time.

And we don't even know how long.

In fact, we were positing that we think it was

the hottest Apple Cup on record because it was about 80 degrees and, you know, typically it's

played in whether that's like half that. So that was really, really interesting. But to get that

win and to kind of get that, you know, that crossed off their list, so to speak, and then to be able to go to Maryland and to win
