Welcome to episode zero-zero-one. Today we're going to be discussing the real definition of

minimalism and the very real benefits of minimalism. So we're going to be

talking about the top five benefits of minimalism. So first, let's dive right in. What is the

meaning and definition of minimalism? So many people, myself included, had a really big

misunderstanding of what minimalism is. So the word minimal, the root word of

minimalism is defined as bare minimum or barely adequate. So it makes sense that when we hear

the word minimalism, we think of barely anything. You know, I used to think of like a very

sterile, cold, unwelcoming home with like concrete floors,

white walls, maybe a sofa, maybe in the kitchen there's like one dish and a spoon, right?

Barely minimum.

That was a definition.

But I think over the last 10, 15, 20 years or more, it's really evolved into so much more than that.

And that's for a lot of reasons. But I think one of the biggest reasons is our culture and society

puts such value and an emphasis on material things. And so as that's grown so much over the last 20 years with

the invention of the internet, things are cheaper, things are more accessible to buy. And,

you know, we can do one-click buy now on Amazon Prime, which for a mom is super convenient. But
