Ira Weinstein. Here, no Sam, this morning. You've been paying attention to the last few weeks. Then you know that Sam has jury duty today. So no Sam Webb this morning. He is doing his civic duty. And so we will actually talk about that later on this morning with our friend Joe Simon, who's going to join us in studio. We'll talk about that. And then a whole lot more, as we have some legal conversations to have with Joe this morning here in the studio. We'll also have John E. I know Sunday was a tough night for you. Sunday was tough, but you know what? It was one of those where you're like, okay, we're not winning today. Okay. it wasn't like one of those real nail biters where you're like oh man we and we were just right it it does it does bring up

the conversation and we didn't really have this one uh but it does bring up the conversation because

we've all been on both sides of this and yeah when you get to that clinching game whether it's a one

off you know one and done in college basketball or if it's a game seven in hockey slash

basketball or for that matter being in a big playoff game in football, would you rather lose on that last second field goal, would you rather lose on a buzzer beater, would you rather lose in overtime, you know, in hockey or something like that, or a late third period goal, where it's totally devastating, or would you rather, if knowing you're going to lose, right, the end result

is not changing. You've already lost the game. And I think I'm with you, like, if you, because you spend the whole game kind of just coming to the realization, you lost, right? And so by the time the game is over, you've gotten a lot of the anguish out of the way, right? Because you have, when you lose in overtime, you spend the next day's crying, right?

If you lose on a buzzer beater, you know, if James Hardin hits a half-court shot at the buzzer to win the series, the week does feel a lot different. Last year when Tim Hardaway Jr. is in the corner, he gets filed by the Knicks player, but doesn't actually get, I believe it's Josh Hart, but they don't call that one.

Yeah, those sting, those linger longer. Yeah, the ones that, because you were there. Because you have a check. Yeah, exactly. So, you know, this year we weren't quite there yet. I think, you know, things played out to expectations with Cabs and Nix. Yeah, so I'm glad that I have you here this morning when we knew Sam was going on, going on jury duty, and we knew that Ms. was otherwise occupied next door. We specifically wanted you to come in because I have one and one I wanted a welfare check, so I want to make sure you doing all right. So there was that. Well, before we scheduled this, I was hoping that pissas were still playing, I believe as Ms. told me, you were like, yeah, pisses probably should be playing.
