Paul Davids is an author, artist, and award-winning Hollywood film director. Best-selling author, international speaker and a sought-after facilitator, Gary M. On today's episode, we welcome Dean Braxton, a man whose near-death experience is nothing short of transformative. Imagine dying and then finding yourself in a realm where everything is as it should be—where love, peace, and joy permeate every fiber of your being. Dean didn't just imagine it; he lived it. For an hour and 45 minutes, Dean was medically dead, but during that time, he was very much alive, journeying through the afterlife in a way that only a handful of people ever describe.Dean’s life before his near-death experience was filled with purpose and contentment. As a juvenile probation supervisor in Seattle, he worked passionately in drug and treatment courts, helping kids who were struggling with addiction and mental health issues. He often said that he would do the job until the day he died—and then, one day, he did. What began as a routine day ended in a battle for life after a kidney stone led to a severe infection that shut down his body. There are performers that impact your life without you even knowing it and today's guest fits that bill. Billy’s career took off for his role in the 70's sitcom SOAP, where he played a gay character, Jodie Dallas. This launched him into box office hits such as When Harry Met Sally, City Slickers, Analyze This, and the kids' favorite, Mike Wazowski in Monsters, Inc. just to name a few.  Aside from hosting the Oscars® a record nine times and being only one step away from an EGOT, he’s a philanthropist. Billy, along with Whoopi Goldberg and the late Robin Williams created the annual fundraiser stand-up comedy show, Comic Relief, in 1986 that has over the years, raised over $60 million to support the homeless.  The late 80s and early 90s were a really magical time for Billy's career. He had the box office hits Running Scared and Throw Momma from the Train. He had scene-stealing parts in the classics This is Spinal Tap and The Princess Bride.  There’s the 1989 box office smash hit When Harry Met Sally, starring Billy alongside Meg Ryan and Carrie Fisher. She was only 54. Six weeks later, Lauren began to communicate with Stephen…and in October 2018, they started writing the book "What Dreams Have Come: Loving Through The Veil".
