Hour 2: NCAA Tournament Preview, Vikings NOT OUT on Rodgers, Dart Climbing Draft Boards + Dalen Cuff and Charlie Weis join the show

In Hour 2… (6:05) ESPN’s Dalen Cuff joined to kick off Hour 2 with a preview of the 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. The guys and Dalen hit on some of the biggest names to watch for in this year’s tournament, such as Duke, Florida and Houston, as well as hitting on Rick Pitino and his current St. John’s squad after winning their first Big East title in over 25 years.  (15:20) Mike Golic Jr’s old collegiate coach, Charlie Weis, stopped by to talk through a few different things with the guys. First, they discussed some of his time coaching the Fighting Irish, as well as coaching Mike Jr himself, but then transitioned into what his son, Charlie Weis Jr is up to these days. Charlie Jr. currently serves as OC and QBs coach of Ole Miss, and Charlie Sr. had strong opinions on the rise of Jaxson Dart during the 2025 Draft Process. Charlie didn’t have a bad thing to say about Dart, and understands why he continues to climb draft boards, such as Mel Kiper Jr’s third mock draft of the season.  (30:18)  We’ve got a source off! In Hour 1, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network discussed how the Minnesota Vikings were effectively out on QB Aaron Rodgers after informing teams they’re not trading QB J.J. McCarthy. During the second hour, The Athletic’s Diana Russini tweeted “There’s no ‘in’ or ‘out’ on Aaron Rodgers from Minnesota—they’re simply not making a decision at this time.” The guys discuss if there’s still a chance Rodgers ends up following in Brett Favre’s footsteps and ends up in Minneapolis, as well as continuing the convo from Hour 1 on what they’re expecting, if anything, from Rodgers’ free agency process. Hour 1: First Four Recap, Butler transforms the Warriors, Vikings OUT on Rodgers + Jessica Smetana joins the show

In Hour 1… (4:32) Tuesday night gave us the first taste of official March Madness action, with the first two “First Four” games taking place, first between St. Francis and Alabama State, where ASU was able to pull off the last second victory 70-68. The guys hit on this matchup, as well as Senior’s usual disdain for the play in games. They also discussed the second matchup of the night between highly-disputed participant North Carolina and San Diego State.  (12:45) The guys then shifted from the College Courts to the Professionals, recapping last night’s matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors. No Curry? No Problem for Golden State, as Jimmy Butler was able to provide the dubs with a 24-8-10 stat line, only furthering the narrative about how much the Warriors have improved with him on the roster. Mike and Mike discuss what the Warriors could look like come playoff time, and if Butler has turned them into legitimate contenders for the 2025 title. (23:26) The Aaron Rodgers saga is still ongoing, with many reports linking him to the Minnesota Vikings surfacing this week. However, that news was put to rest during the first hour of Wednesday’s show after NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero revealed the Vikings have been rejecting multiple trade calls on QB J.J. McCarthy, signaling they’re content with him starting under center next season. The guys discussed the latest chapter in the Rodgers saga, and weighed his two biggest options between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants.  (38:50) Speaking of the Steelers, noted Steelers super fan Jessica Smetana stopped by to catch up with Junior and Senior. They first discussed how she feels about the prospect of Aaron Rodgers coming to Pittsburgh, and then shifted into other conversations such as Cameron Brink’s latest comments, as well as Lando Norris taking home the first race of the F1 season.  (53:08) Mike Golic Jr. gives a recap of the second game in Tokyo between the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers, highlighted by homecoming hero Shohei Ohtani blasting a HR to right field and taking down Chicago 6-3 Click here to subscribe, rate, and review the newest episodes of GoJo and Golic! Hour 2: Baton Rouge Billions, Death of the Spring Game + Jason Fitz joins the show

In Hour 2… (3:00) Friend of the program Jason Fitz stopped by for the beginning of the second hour to talk some football, both at the collegiate and NFL levels. First, the guys and Fitz discussed how many schools are starting to stray away from hosting a spring game, and how that will impact the college schedule and offseason going forward. They also discussed Deion Sanders proposal to either play another school for the spring game and/or playing NFL teams. (19:30) Fitz stuck around to discuss the Bengals WR duo of Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins getting paid on Monday Morning, and the lasting legacy that the 2019 LSU Tigers Roster continues to have on the game. Between the group of Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Derek Stingley Jr, they’ve netted nearly $700M in NFL earnings. Many viewed the 2019 Tigers as the best college football team of all-time, and six years later they’re still giving people reasons to believe it. (38:00) GoJo put out perhaps his most compelling debate of all-time over the weekend on his BlueSky account. His theory stated “every food can be paired with either hot sauce or peanut butter successfully.” Junior, Senior and Jessie spent some time debating this question, including trying to come up with some foods that wouldn’t meet the prerequisites.  (44:20) This, That and The Third THIS: “National Corrupt Athletic Association”  THAT: Hair Loss Drug or Alzheimer’s Cure? Hour 1: Rodgers Bidding War + A Cup of Cooper + Bosa Heads to Buffalo + Mac Jones to the 49ers

[03:00] Aaron Rodgers Officially a Free AgentAaron Rodgers is now officially a free agent following his release by the New York Jets at the start of the league year on Wednesday at 4 p.m. Eastern. The move, while long-anticipated, was not formally announced by the Jets but is expected to appear on the NFL's evening transaction wire. By waiting until the new league year to release him, the Jets can now designate Rodgers as a post-June 1 cut, allowing them to spread his massive $49 million cap hit across two seasons—$14 million this year and $35 million in 2026. In the meantime, they will carry his full cap charge of $23.5 million until June 1, after which they will free up $9.5 million in cap space. [12:30] Vikings Showing Interest in Aaron RodgersReports suggest that the Minnesota Vikings have internally discussed the possibility of signing Aaron Rodgers, according to ESPN’s Kevin Seifert. While it remains uncertain how serious the Vikings are about pursuing Rodgers, the team is at least exploring the idea. The conversation shifts to whether Minnesota should have the most interest in Rodgers and how he could elevate the offense, especially with a weapon like Justin Jefferson at his disposal. [22:45] Rams Releasing Cooper KuppThe Los Angeles Rams have decided to release star wide receiver Cooper Kupp, designating him as a post-June 1 cut. This means they will carry his $29.78 million cap hit until June before spreading the financial impact across multiple seasons, with dead cap hits of $14.78 million in 2025 and $7.48 million in 2026. [32:10] Amon-Ra St. Brown Sounds Off on the BearsDetroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has taken notice of the Chicago Bears' aggressive moves in free agency. Chicago has bolstered its offensive line by acquiring guards Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson, while also signing center Drew Dalman. On the defensive side, the Bears have added pass rushers Dayo Odeyingbo and Grady Jarrett, making them a much more formidable team heading into the 2025 season. [40:20] Joey Bosa Joins the Buffalo BillsPro Bowl defensive end Joey Bosa has signed a one-year, $12.6 million deal with the Buffalo Bills, marking the end of his tenure with the Los Angeles Chargers. Bosa has been plagued by injuries in recent seasons but was still selected as a Pro Bowl alternate in 2024. His arrival in Buffalo is expected to strengthen the Bills’ defensive front, especially after they released Von Miller to free up $8.4 million in cap space. [45:15] Mac Jones to the 49ersIn smaller free agency news, former New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Mac Jones has signed a two-year, $7 million contract with the San Francisco 49ers, with $5 million guaranteed. Hour 1: Sam Darnold to Seattle, Justin Fields traded to the Jets, NFL Draft Implications + Day 1 Free Agency Round Up

In Hour 1… (4:25) Before the guys got into the meat of everything that happened during Day 1 of the NFL’s Free Agency Legal Tampering Period, Jessie Coffield brought up her current fast, as she’s getting bloodwork done following the show. This fascinated Mike Golic Sr, and the gang discussed how good fasting is for the human body. (8:50) The NFL Free Agency Legal Tampering Window opened up at noon on Monday, and the deals kept coming all day. The biggest name going off the board was former Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Darnold, who signed a 3-year, $100M deal to become the next QB of the Seattle Seahawks. The guys discussed what kind of a move this is for Seattle, and what direction they’ll be heading in after losing 2 WRs and their starting QB Geno Smith.  (22:30) The other QB News making headlines on Monday was not via free agency, but the trade market as the Pittsburgh Steelers traded QB Justin Fields to the New York Jets, who were looking for their Aaron Rodgers replacement. Fields had a solid year in Pittsburgh, but split duties under center with Russell Wilson. The guys talked about what this could do for Fields’ career and if he can have a resurgence with NY, as well as how the Steelers will be looking to approach the QB position this season - perhaps with the Jets former starter? (37:42) A plethora of stars were on the move on Monday, and the guys took the time to discuss some of the biggest non-QB moves from the day. They also discussed some of their favorite moves of the day, and their biggest winners and losers of the free agency window opening. Hour 2: Matt Harmon Joins the Show + Ravens Retain Lamar Jackson's Muscle + Celtics Flexing their Muscles

[01:00] Matt Harmon Joins the ShowYahoo Sports football analyst Matt Harmon (@MattHarmon_BYB) joins the show to break down the biggest wide receiver moves of the offseason. The conversation focuses on the impact of DK Metcalf being traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Davante Adams joining the Los Angeles Rams, and the possibility of Deebo Samuel being the next major player to be traded. With multiple receivers already on the move, the discussion also explores whether Cooper Kupp could be the next wide receiver to change teams. [16:20] Lakers vs. Celtics Recap (Celtics 111, Lakers 101)The Boston Celtics proved their dominance once again by defeating the Los Angeles Lakers. This segment analyzes what this victory says about the Celtics and their championship aspirations. The Lakers struggled in the third quarter, shooting just 21% from the field while committing six turnovers, raising the question of how far away they are from truly competing with the NBA’s best teams. With Jayson Tatum dropping 40 points and Jaylen Brown adding 31, the discussion turns to whether the Celtics are the clear-cut best team in the league and what strategies teams might use to beat them. [24:15] Ronnie Stanley Re-Signs with the RavensThe Baltimore Ravens have secured a crucial piece of their offensive line by agreeing to a three-year, $60 million deal with left tackle Ronnie Stanley. This move ensures quarterback Lamar Jackson’s blind side is protected, which could have a significant impact on Baltimore’s offensive success moving forward. With four offensive line starters returning from last season, the Ravens have solidified one of the league’s most important units. However, left guard Patrick Mekari remains an unrestricted free agent, leaving one question mark in their protection scheme. The discussion focuses on how this move shapes the Ravens' Super Bowl aspirations and the ripple effects it may have on their roster construction. With many different teams in the running, such as the Browns, Giants, Steelers and Raiders, where will the former World Champion QB be playing under center as the 2025 season kicks off? (34:14) Green Bay has been in the news this week as their president Mark Murphy has been vocal about banning the “Tush Push” play, heavily utilized by the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. (44:08) The guys transition into a conversation surrounding the current state of the Dallas Cowboys, and how they will be “selectively aggressive” this offseason. There’s been speculation the Cowboys are planning on tanking this upcoming season after hiring HC Brian Schottenheimer, but will the Cowboys actually take his tenure seriously, or is this just smoke to help them prepare for the 2026 season? (49:00) Jessie Coffield discusses brief notes coming out of the NFL Combine, headlined by Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty electing to skip the 2025 event.  Click here to subscribe, rate, and review the newest episodes of GoJo and Golic! They also discuss some of the players who will be running the 40-yard dash, as well as some of the intricacies that hold more value than they should at the combine.  (49:28) Finally, Jessie Coffield gives a brief overview of some eye-popping stat lines during Sunday’s NBA Slate - particularly with players such as Miami’s Tyler Herro and Detroit’s Cade Cunningham.  Click here to subscribe, rate, and review the newest episodes of GoJo and Golic!
