The June 27th, 2002 episode of WWE SmackDown! is a historic one, as it features the WWE debut of John Cena! Kurt Angle is introduced by Mr. McMahon. Kurt still has his fake hair from losing it in a match against Edge! He takes it off and says he is tired of being made fun of. He then challenges any wrestler in the back that he has never faced to a match right now! A new kid named John Cena comes out, tells Kurt that he has “Ruthless Aggression,” and slaps Angle in the face! The match is now kicked off. Cena takes it to Angle and almost gets the win multiple times. However, Angle forces Cena’s shoulders down and gets the win! After the match, John Cena earns the respect of The Undertaker backstage. Speaking of The Undertaker, he comes out to the ring and runs down The Rock on the microphone, saying he is going to make him pay when he returns to the WWE. Kurt Angle then comes out and challenges Taker to a match next week on WWE SmackDown! for the WWE Championship! He ends up putting The Undertaker in the ankle lock for a few seconds just to show that he can. Also, Mark Henry and Lance Storm have a match, Test takes on Rikishi, Reverend D-Von and Batista team against Faarooq and Randy Orton, and The Divas give us a sneak peek at the upcoming “Divas Undressed” special! Before we get to that match, Mikey Whipwreck has one last “Hoodie Training Session” with The Public Enemy. They meet in complete darkness at Central Park in New York. While Rocco Rock leaves to get training items, Johnny Grunge has a training session of his own for Mikey. He makes Mikey run up a ladder and grab beers that are hanging in a tree. By the end of it Mikey is blown up, Johnny Grunge is wasted and Rocco Rock is upset! This is a classic ECW segment. Speaking of classics, Steve Austin is here for “Beulah’s Box!” He is dressed up like Eric Bischoff for “Monday NyQuil!” He does his best impression of Eric and vents all his frustrations with WCW, including getting fired over the phone! It’s November 25th, 2010 on Thanksgiving for this special episode of TNA Wrestling iMPACT! There is no Turkey Bowl, but we do get a Thanksgiving Party with Immortal. Matt Morgan is the current #1 contender for Jeff Hardy’s TNA World Championship. Because he beat Ric Flair, he gets to choose a special guest referee for their match at the Final Resolution PPV. We don’t find out who his referee is going to be tonight, but he does get challenged to an 8 man elimination tag team match by Immortal for the main event. He teams with Douglas Williams, and they need to find 2 more partners. They search for partners throughout the night and end up convincing Samoa Joe and The Pope D'Angelo Dinero to be on their team. The match goes their way, until Joe and The Pope battle to the back, leaving Matt Morgan all by himself. Eventually, Jeff Hardy gets involved, and the match ends in a no contest. Also, all night Immortal is having a Thanksgiving celebration, and it turns out that Eric Bischoff has invited Dixie Carter to dinner. She does show up at the end of the show and serves them with papers. She says that Hogan doesn’t have signatory rights to sign the talent he has been signing and that she will see them in court. WWF Survivor Series 1997 is known for one thing: The Montreal Screwjob. This was the case where Bret Hart was leaving the WWF to join the WCW. At the time, Bret was the WWF Champion, but he didn’t want to lose the WWF Championship in Canada. Especially to Shawn Michaels. During the match, Michaels put Bret Hart in the Sharpshooter. Vince McMahon, who was ringside, ordered referee Earl Hebner to ring the bell even though Bret hadn’t submitted. Shawn Michaels was declared the new WWF Champion. That was The Montreal Screwjob. Now on November 17th, 1997 on WWF Monday Night RAW, the fallout from the infamous incident begins. Vince McMahon sits down in a one on one interview with Jim Ross. During this candid conversation McMahon explains that Bret Hart refused to lose the WWF Championship before leaving the company to join their rival competition, WCW. He said that Bret put himself above the company and that he had no choice but to protect the company. Vince says, “Bret screwed Bret. I have no sympathy whatsoever for Bret.” Also, as the show opens, the Intercontinental Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin calls out The Rock. The Nation of Domination come to the ring and start attacking Stone Cold! The numbers game got to him allowing The Rock to steal the IC Championship Title Belt. In the main event The Rock battles Dude Love in a non title match, but it ends when The Nation of Domaination get involved. Stone Cold makes the save, but The Rock is able to escape with the IC Title. Until he was traveling from a show in West Virginia to Philadelphia with Sabu on July 1st. RVD was pulled over for speeding! They would both be arrested for possession of marijuana. This would cause RVD’s world to come crashing down. On RAW the night before this episode, he would lose the WWE Championship to Edge in a triple threat match involving John Cena. Tonight will be the infamous match with The Big Show. At the start of the show The Big Show went up to Paul Heyman and demanded an ECW title match. Rob Van Dam would later accept this challenge by walking into Big Show’s locker room and slapping him in the face. As the match happened, Paul Heyman came down and screwed RVD out of the title. The Big Show would become WWE ECW Champion and fans would litter the ring with trash. A true Philly Riot. RAW is Jericho on April, 17th 2000! WWF RAW opens the show hot with Chris Jericho vs Triple H, in what was scheduled as a non-title match with Triple H defending the honor of Stephanie McMahon. Jericho verbally assaults Triple H and convinces him to put the WWF Championship on the line right now! After a referee gets bumped during the match, Earl Hebner comes in at the end of the match and counts the pin for Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho is the NEW WWF Champion, for all of 2 minutes. Triple H argues with the refs and says that Earl made a fast count and needs to reverse the decision. Earl agrees as long as Triple H doesn’t mess with him while he works for the WWF. Triple H goes along with it until he gets his title back. He then fires Hebner and beats him up. Also, Linda McMahon is here with a big surprise that she won’t tell anyone about. She goes into the ring and says that Stone Cold Steve Austin will be in the corner of The Rock at the Backlash against Triple H. This makes Triple H and Stephanie upset and Stephanie goes to slap her mom. However, Linda was ready and countered it by slapping her back. One of the best episodes of ECW Hardcore TV took place on June 6th, 1997! ECW Wrestlepalooza 1997 just happened and we are looking at 3 matches from that show. First, Tommy Dreamer and Raven have their final battle as Raven is about to head to WCW! This match was significant as Tommy had never beat Raven in a match. After the match was over Jerry Lawler invaded, alongside RVD and Sabu, and they beat up everyone from the locker room until Taz came out. Taz then challenged Sabu to a match and it’s going to happen right now. Following that match, Shane Douglas got on the microphone and a 3 minute challenge match was going to happen. Taz had 3 minutes to defeat Shane Douglas and if he did so, he would become the new ECW TV Champion. This show flowed seamlessly and it’s probably one of the greatest episodes of ECW Hardcore TV ever produced! Also, Stone Cold faces off against Booker-T until the nWo arrive and destroy Austin with a big wrench. They beat him up so bad that he has to go to a local medical facility. Speaking of the nWo, one member will be in action. It turns out it’s Scott Hall and he has a match against Spike Dudley. In Scott’s mind this is Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Undertaker is trying to get Ric Flair to have a match at WrestleMania, so he goes to the train center where David Flair is at. He attacks him and leaves him bloody. Plus, Triple H is giving Stephanie McMahon all of her stuff back. She is very excited to get her favorite lotion back, so she puts it on. Later that night, we find out that Triple H had put something different in the bottle of lotion that made her break out in rashes everywhere. On February 1st, 2001 WWF SmackDown! was taken to the XTREME! This is the one and only episode of SmackDown that they called Xtreme! Why was it called this? It’s not an ECW reunion show, as ECW was still in business. Every match isn’t a hardcore gimmick match. It has a lot to do with the TV show Friends & Survivor both airing at the same time. Also, the XFL is premiering this weekend and it was a good idea to promote it! The show opens with The Dudleys defending the Tag Team TItles against the Hardy Boyz in a tables match. It’s not the best tables match, but there are some crazy spots that have never been done before or since this match. Also, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H are not allowed to touch at all or severe consequences will be upon both of them.  Stone Cold takes over Triple H’s locker room and then takes a massive dump in the bathroom. At one point during the night Austin shakes up 2 beer cans and sprays them on Hunter. But remember, Triple H can’t touch The Rattlesnake. As Mr. McMahon is leaving for the night, Stephanie approaches him and asks that Triple H get added to the main event WWF title match, with Kurt Angle defending against The Rock. Mr. McMahon agrees and the match is set. In the main event, as the ref is knocked down, Kurt Angle pins Triple H. Stone Cold enters the ring and makes a  fast count with the ref's hand. Kurt Angle retains the title and Triple H is livid! The most controversial night in ECW history happened on the October 29th, 1996 episode of Hardcore TV. Coming from ECW High Incident 1996, this episode features one of the biggest and maybe worst moments of all time. Not only that, but Kurt Angle makes his one and only ECW appearance. This was before he was even a pro wrestler. ECW was trying to get him to join the company so they had him make an in-ring appearance and then do commentary for Taz vs Little Guido. After that it looked like Kurt was going to have a program with Taz. That was until the incident happened. After The Sandman successfully defended his title against 2 Cold Scorpio, Raven returned from injury. It looked as if the Sandman’s son was going to join back with his dad; he previously left to join Raven. However, Raven surprised everyone and hit Sandman with a Singapore cane! That is where the episode leaves us. In reality, that was not the end. Raven, Steve Richards, and The Blue Meanie, brought out a cross and crucified a bloody and battered Sandman! They hoisted him up and put a barbed wire “crown of thorns" on his head! This moment was so controversial that ECW couldn’t air it or Kurt Angle would sue them!
