The The By the early 21st century movies like 28 days later and Wreck had reinvented the

zombie as a frightening new monster for modern audiences. This left the old, slow moving Romero style zombies feeling a little

bit tired and old fashioned. But certain young new filmmakers who grew up in the 70s and 80s watching the movies of

Romero and Fulci and Sam Ramey began to use these well-worn zombie

tropes for comedic, self-aware-modern twists on the format.

Two movies in particular, one quintessentially British British the other quintessentially American

proved that zombies can work just as brilliantly in comedy as they could in horror. Join me as we continue exploring the evolution of the zombie movie and we discuss two classic
