The Hello and

0:15.0

welcome to a little bonus episode of the evolution of horror.

0:20.0

My name is Mike and as ever I am your host. Now as many of you may have heard

0:25.2

particularly UK listeners out there there is currently running in London at the

0:29.2

Pleasant's Theatre a stage adaptation of George Romero's Night of the Living Dead and it seemed

0:35.8

very fitting as we're right in the middle of a zombie series I thought it would be a

0:40.0

great opportunity for me to go and see the show and then chat to its director Benji

0:44.8

Sparing.

1:24.9

But there is tons of fun to be had.

1:28.0

I was sat with Jamie Graham in the splatter zone of the audience, which meant that we were both

1:33.2

absolutely covered from head to toe in blood by the end and it was a really

1:37.6

really fun night. So I got the chance to sit down and chat to its director

1:41.8

Benji Sparing about how he decided to stage the show about its influences

1:46.0

about its relationship with the original movie and about his relationship with the horror genre.

1:51.6

So here we go. Here is my chat with Director Benji Sparing.
