In fact, imagine a high wire straight out this window over the Atlanta skyline.

That's where we're at today.

We've been at the CDC for the last two days for the ASIT meetings.

That's the advisory committee on immunization practices.

That is the committee that recommends new vaccines with expansion of vaccines onto our childhood

schedules, our adult schedules.

I'm going to give you a breakdown of what we witnessed in these last two days.

I'm going to get some help from Jeffrey Jackson who joined us and Katherine Laten.

We're all going to have a discussion about some of the things that went down at ASIT.

I think you'll find it really interesting.

But before we get there, I want to talk about what really everyone's talking about, school

shootings.

I mean, this is a phenomenon of the modern age.

It's a horrific story to talk about every single time it happens.

The carnage, the innocence lost.

Really, there's so many ways to look at this.

And of course, I'm talking about Nicholas Cruz who, at age 19, was just charged with 17

counts of murder following the shooting at Marjorie Stoeman Douglas High School in Marget,

Florida.
